To meet the surge in demand for initial online backup of 100s of GBs of data, IBackup Professional provides Rapid Serve for quick initial data backup to a temporary storage device, shipped to your location.
IBackup Professional will either send you External USB hard drives or NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices, depending on the size of the data that needs to be backed up.
You can directly plug the external drive into your computer via USB, and take initial backup to it. This is an ideal solution for data sizes upto 2 TB.
For initial backup of more than 2 TB of data, IBackup Professional recommends NAS devices. Just copy your data onto these devices and ship it to IBackup Professional.
The NAS devices are pre-configured with RAID 5 storage of upto 5 TB and DHCP. If you have DHCP servers on your LAN, then hook up one of the NAS device ports to the LAN and copy the data. If not, configure the NAS device networking details to suit your network. Our support personnel will provide the necessary authentication information to configure the NAS device.
Ensure that appropriate material is used for packing the devices, before they are shipped back to IBackup Professional.
Once we receive these devices, the backed up data will be transferred to your online account. You can proceed with incremental backups via the Internet.
