IBackup - online backup and online storage Support

Special Note on IBackup Accounts created prior to 10th August 2011



There are significant changes to the underlying architecture of IBackup for accounts starting 10th August 2011. The current feature-set is described on the regular IBackup website. This page describes the significant aspects of the earlier architecture and provides information on how to refer to the earlier architecture related description.


Encryption

Secure data transfer using 128-bit SSL technology and optional 256-bit proprietary encryption on storage.

 

Snapshot / LTA

Provision to restore from the earlier Snapshots of files maintained in the IBackup account. Users can restore 10 last Snapshots of files. Option for Long Time Archival where Snapshots can be created and maintained for longer duration.

 

Sub-Account

An IBackup account within your main account for collaborative online storage. It can be used to map specific folders to individual accounts, data sharing with fine grained access control and for backing up multiple computers with data from each PC mapped to a specific Sub-Account.

 


Web-Folder

WebFolders allow you to drag-n-drop files between your PC and online account. Directly edit Office files like Word, Excel and PowerPoint from your online account.

 

Private Share

The Private Share option allows an IBackup user to instantly share files with other IBackup account holders by providing your associates' Usernames.

 
   

IBackup Drive for Mac

IBackup drive is an interface between your online account and Mac for drag-n-drop and direct edits of files.

 


IBackup Professional

Enterprise class online backup and storage solution. Secured with 128-bit SSL encryption on data transfer and 256-bit AES encryption on data storage with a user defined key known only to you.
